Get Gone Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Get Gone

This is not, this is not where
I imagined us how did we get here?
Looking into your eyes
as if for the first time
You became a stranger
I hate you so much right now

Grabbed your stuff throwned out the window
It makes me sick, I wish I did not know
you saying sorry like it will make amends
The damage has been done and now I hurt
Almost like you've broken me into pieces
Struggling to pick each shattered piece up
Just know that it's over I have had enough

This is what, this is what you did to me
Given you love, loved you unconditionally
You stare into my eyes
and can see the pain
I can't love you
No, not after this
I can't trust you
this my only wish
for you to be gone
I lived, loved and moved on
