any woman
regardless of age
high enough
on her own femininity
to pop her gum
unselfconsciously
roll her eyes
automatically
toss her hair
effortlessly
check her make-up
intently)
will always (no
matter how old I get)
cause me to smile
and shake my head
in joy and disbelief.
