Give And Take Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Give And Take

Give and take

Want to get undressed
To be like day of birth
In skin though varied
Full of fat, is wrinkled.

Then maybe I and me
Will sit down eye to eye.

One questions honestly
Then reply with courage.

But I am so worried:
"No fat lie? No hiding? "
We are taught to be so
As culture, way of life.

How can I break loose?

Lucky they who she said
Stood there and shouted:
"Leave go home terrorist!
Used worst words in Farsi! "

Was not there, did not see
Could not say or comment
But on what she told me
Of faithful and faithless…

I see sides, both are shame! ! !

Can only convince me
If no one can see me
But myself!
Respect its honesty
Talk boldest!

Ask, answer, straight!
Of beliefs and patience,
Of caring and conscious
Of giving humbly
Readily take, accept.
