Give Up The Wild Chase Poem by Tim Vallie

Give Up The Wild Chase

Your biggest mistake
Was believing her when she said “I can’t replace you”
Your heart aches
Because you gave it to her believing she’d embrace you
Put your foot on the brakes
Turn around and give up this wild chase
Don’t raise the stakes
Know when you’ve lost, and walk away with grace
