Glowing In Self-Love. Poem by Bishnupada Sethi

An intense and fiery relationship
Once anchored on firm grounds
Of mutual love and respect
Looked for a shared future
Became a subject of envy too.
Few drew parallels from lores
Saying how again two separated souls
Got together in this life.

It'll be untrue to say
There weren't lows in life.
During the times storms blew over
The bonds became weak,
Yet I made efforts
To be back in life's routine.

As an ordinary mortal however
With finite strength
I experience today
The weakest point in life-
No more desire is there to make another effort
To hold back or reverse the time
To be upset or angry
And to enter the never ending cycle
Of affection and bitterness
Of lows and highs.

The thinning of bonds
Forces me to look within-
To discover I've no fear,
Immense source of soul force lies
Hitherto untapped
Blemish free, never hurting
Unhindered and unconditional.
I glow in self love
Feeling unfettered and cared for.
I'm loveable eternally.
