God Has Not Forgotten You (Rev. Version) Poem by Franklin Spriggs

God Has Not Forgotten You (Rev. Version)

Down this highway that we call life,
Of all it's heartaches, toils and strife,
It's hard for the saints to keep pressing through,
But always remember, God has not forgotten you.

Like Israel pursued of Pharaohs hoard,
In fear of life, would they die by the sword,
By his mighty hand he brought them through,
Why have doubt, God has not forgotten you.

Just as Jonah, three nights in a whale,
Praying to his God who cannot fail,
In torment and agony, not knowing what to do,
No need for worry, God has not forgotten you.

Like Daniel in a pit, it looked like a fatal hour,
Thrown to the lions, his body to be devoured,
When all looks hopeless, what ever shall you do,
Pray to the Lord, God has not forgotten you.

For Elijah and the widow, in a terrible drought,
Couldn't find a reason to rejoice or to shout,
But hold on saints, the rains of blessings are coming to you,
Do not doubt, God has not forgotten you.

I have lived these stories, everyone one of them are true,
What he has done for me, he will do for you,
Hated, unwanted, neglected, not knowing what to do,
Yet I heard a voice, God has not forgotten you.

Though I sobed, I wept, my situations I thought had no end,
Yet I heard a voice, ' I am your dearest friend ',
He brought me through trials, my worries, my blues,
My prayer to you my bretheren, my God has not forgotten you.
