God Teach Us To Number Our Days Poem by Jocelyn Dunbar

God Teach Us To Number Our Days

… As the wind blows every branch of the trees
With its leaves drop down on the ground
That decays in time.

... As the seasons change with each division
Every weather persisting; winter, autumn, spring,
And summer that moves our ages
According to the years.

... As time passed by as a circle cycle of life
Every fetus that grows in the womb of a woman
That exists to join the unit of humanity to live.

... As the air in the substance circling in the galaxy
That flowing up and down in the realm of the earth,
Dark clouds appear to produce raindrops
Falling scatter everywhere, the sun comes out,
Drain the water, evaporate;
Everything repeatedly itself existing
In a different category of things in time.

... As we travel far in its journey
Teach us to count every outgoing and ingoing
Day after day, in whatever life we may be.
To make us more meaningful,
To make us more open in many things,
In any way to learn.

Teach us to be grateful to you in any weather,
In any season, in every journey,
Every pain and sorrow in our life.
Teach us to be ambitious
To love you more each day we live.

GOD...
Teach us to number our days in life here on earth.
