Godless In Baltimore Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Godless In Baltimore

Rating: 5.0

Is it Godless in Baltimore?
Where no one is safe.
Not a man or a woman,
In this time and place.

A Catholic Priest
Not safe on the street.
A Coward with a gun
Shattered his peace.

Three hundred homicides
For yet another year.
Politicians incapable
Of dispelling the fear.

Has God abandoned the city?
Where is the Love?
No longer will prayers
Be answered from above.

So, is Baltimore ever
Going to change.
Will God return
To make it safe and sane?

a really good heart felt poem on an awful situation. Guns are so tightly controlled in Wales where even most of the police don't carry them.

Thank you David. I can't imagine a world where the good guys are not armed. The only one who can take out a bad guy, is a good guy with a gun. The Police simply have to be armed at all times.
