Gone But Not Forgotten..... Poem by dripping heart

Your scars to prove the suffering
they fill me with guilt....
Why couldn't I be there to save you?
The thought of you in pain
resembles my heart in a blender
I wished I could have made you strong when you
were weak...and I wish I could have
cured your eyes so they wouldn't leak...
Your past will always leave a bitter taste in my mouth
I know you've been through the shadows of darkness
but I am here now to show you the light...to show you joy
Grab my hand and we shall take flight into a new life
A life filled with hope, A life without misery
So deeply do I want to be here for you....
Just trust that there is a hero that lies within me
