Good is an all-encompassing word
Full of joy, hope, and love it's heard
It's the light in the darkest night
The warm embrace that feels just right
Good is the gentle caress
That soothes our hearts when we're distressed
The kind gesture from a stranger
That reminds us there's still good in danger
It's the laughter of a child
So pure and innocent, so mild
The smile of a friend when we're down
That turns our sadness into a crown
Good is the forgiveness we give
The willingness to let go and live
It's the strength to rise after we fall
And the courage to answer life's call
It's the beauty in a sunrise
The stars that twinkle in the skies
The flowers that bloom in spring
And the love that makes our hearts sing
Good is the little things we do
That may seem insignificant to some, but to few
They mean the world and make a difference
In our lives, with their simple existence
So let us cherish all that is good
In the world, in ourselves, and in others we should
For it's the goodness that makes life worth living
And it's the goodness that keeps our hearts giving.
