On October 7th
my mother came to my door
told me he died
and started crying once more
seeing you lay there
broke my heart in two
you reached for my hand
I told you, I love you
to my dear father
I say my goodbye
you are never forgotten
it still makes me cry
I remember those days
just you and me
but I can't deny reality
you died, that's the fee
with life comes death
true, yet sad
I love you and miss you
