Good Guide Taken Poem by Danel Van Wyk

Good Guide Taken

When that SMS brought the news, it was like....
like it was the end of my hearts beating.
Not you, Og please, God, let it not be him!
Don't let him die on me now!

Knowing my last words against you were
wrong. The truth, but hurtfully wrong.
Now sitting here, longing to hear your
voice, I realize it's too late... Too late
to make my wrong right again.

Here he comes, a layman, but
a son of God. So soon did they
replace you, but this guy is a nut,
he knows nothing, yet he has the gut.

Now, too late, but so sudden for me
I beg for your forgiveness, I
know that you are with the
Lord, looking down, there to see,
there to forgive the wrong.

Youre image they will remember,
for decades to come,
even it is with only some.
