Goodness Poem by Jason Murak

Goodness

I know a little about a little bit, making me the minority,
Yet we together, are the majority
How can this be if we have no authority
They say majority rules,
Is this true with fools?
We try to make it better, but we aren't given the tools
We're left out, Hung out, rung out to dry in the struggle
We need to put our heads together like an nfl huddle
We must not stay grounded, let your minds take off like a shuttle, aim at the stars, because they are yours
Because no one can judge you, no one is above you
You and the one who is always going to love you
Unlike our public figures. Who blame us when they pull triggers, we try and hide in the back being scared of the war on Iraq, stand up, give up your life of slinging the crack,
Get yourself on track, so we can make a difference
Protest the hardships, cuz government is just like big business
They sell their seats in the house
We take a seat in our house
It's ignorance,
Another thing in my mind
Every man is looking for a girl they can find
I think yes let's appreciate the beauty
But picking a girl should not be based on the size of the booty
Take into consideration
Her ability to carry on conversation
Remember love is the basis of all salvation
