Grass Poem by Luo Zhihai

Grass

★ Grass

☆ Poetry by Bai Juyi (772-846, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

Luxuriant grass on the grassland
Ups and downs one-year-old
Wild fire can’t burn them all
Spring wind blows and they grow
Fragrant grass beyond covers the ancient road
Bluish green reaches the city going out of cultivation far
Again send my prince of friend to go
Luxuriant grass, filled with parting tender regards

◆ Chinese Text

★ 草

☆ 白居易 诗

离离原上草
一岁一枯荣
野火烧不尽
春风吹又生
远芳侵古道
晴翠接荒城
又送王孙去
萋萋满别情
