Gratitude Poem by Jeanette Telusma

Gratitude

Rating: 5.0

With each passing day
I am more grateful for life.
To me it is more precious than gold.
Great health is a treasure.
Having an aspiration to be and become
All your heart envision is to be cherished.
We were created by the Almighty
With great purpose.
We are not just living for ourselves.
But more so for others.
When we allow ourselves to evolve
We also inspire others.
Making use of every passing moment
Is some form of showing gratitude.
I am forever grateful.

Hi Jeanette, An inspirational poem, giving lots of positive energy. The most important realization is: We were created by the Almighty With great purpose. The great ascetics of the yore spent the entire life in acute deprivation and ultimate penance in this search: THE PURPOSE OF LIFE. It is this Indian philosophy and culture that your poem is reflecting.. We are not just living for ourselves. But more so for others. When we allow ourselves to evolve We also inspire others. It is written in Bhagavat Gita: : Uddharet aatman atmanam Na aatmanam avasadayet Aatmasya hi aatmano bandhu- raatmaive ripuratmana... (Meaning: Let a man lift himself by his own self alone and let him not lower himself. For this self alone is the friend of oneself and this self is the enemy of oneself: : : Translation by Great Gita interpreter Swami Chinmayananda) . Making use of every passing moment Is some form of showing gratitude. And gratitude towards Him for giving this as a human being is inevitable. Great Write. Obliged. A perfect100++ for this profound thoughts. Added to mypoemlist, so I could come back for a re......
