Great Bald Eagle Poem by L C Vieira

Great Bald Eagle
Glide again above
My busy head distracted,
Your bold eye staring
Into mine
Past dangling line,
Annoyed at you,
I see
Not the pike I need to catch
Or even miss
Had I the camera in my hand
And not this sorry pole

Great Bald Eagle
Fly again!
Spread your wings
With confidence.
In this far north
I've too much fish,
But you -
So close -
Just twice,
I wish!
