Great Celebration Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Great Celebration

Rating: 5.0

M-ake the celebration great,
E-ventful and exciting;
R-ainy night has gone by,
R-ising sun starts shining.
I-n the sky clouds don't gather
A-ugust sixth warm day;
M-ist, haze and fog fade, as the cold chill drifts away.

D-arkness passes from view,
E-ventide yields to the light;
L-onely twilight is over,
O-pen air is good in
S-ight.

R-ays from up above
E-mit reflection to the sea;
Y-es, the beacon beyond the lane
E-rases the shadows you
S-ee.

R-ight before your eyes,
A-nother dawn has broken,
M-idnight moon hides its face
B-eneath the wide blue heaven.
U-nless the storm doesn't brew,
Y-our friends will be late;
O-n this morn clime is fine,
N-ow I say celebration is
G-reat.
