Green eyes

Green eyes of happiness
Where do you go
Why must you leave me
With nothing to show?
Blue skies of nothingness
Why must you shine
When green eyes of happiness
Left me behind
Gray clouds of emptiness
Where have you gone
I feel so empty
take it from me
Fill your clouds
with painful memories
of days gone by
Green Seas of shining Playfulness
Give me back my happiness
So i Can live on in happiness

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Lawson

The old year went, and the new returned, in the withering weeks of drought,
The cheque was spent that the shearer earned,
and the sheds were all cut out;
