Green Fields Of Home Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Green Fields Of Home

Rating: 2.8

That's where the green is to be made
in this century of the deluded voter
who believe everything
noised about by their leaders
about respect for this globe
we inhabit

How words and feelings
can avert the creep of glaciers
if one believes that stuff made
of moonbeams and malarkey
broadcast by such as Albert Gore
and Barack Obama
and which
is never made explicit

Ask a question
and you'll be bombarded
by vitriolic lingo
peculiar to those
who call themselves
'green'!

I like your perspective on the 'green' way of life you might enjoy one of my writes 'living green at the recycling center', an extremely abstract stab at self righteousness
