Grief: The Northern Lights Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

Grief: The Northern Lights

Rating: 5.0

The northern lights, once a sight so bright,
Now dimmed by the darkness of this night.
For she, my bestie, was taken away,
A victim of a brutal crime that day.

The shock, the denial, the pain so deep,
My heart, my soul, in mourning weep.
Anger, guilt, and bargaining set in,
A rollercoaster of emotions begin.

Memories of her beauty flood my mind,
Her chaos and breathtaking spirit intertwined.
But now she's gone, forever lost,
And I'm left to bear this heavy cost.

Acceptance slowly starts to come,
The realization that she's truly gone.
But still, the grief remains so raw,
A burden that I will forever carry and gnaw.

The northern lights may dance and glow,
But my heart will forever feel the blow,
Of losing her, my love, so brutally,
A wound that time will never fully heal in me.
