Grovel Poem by Stanley Cooper

Grovel

Don’t toady up disgracefully
It really is so lame-ful
It’s a way of losing face-fully
To grovel is most shameful

To bootlick is demeaning
When used to self advance
It’s not at all redeeming
When postured in that stance

Apple-polish, brown-nose
Kowtow, to name a few
Attitudes I must oppose
Far too few people do
