Grubby Little Cheder Boys Poem by Linda Hepner

Grubby little chederboys
Making lots and lots of noise,
Cause their rebbe to resign
Drinking hard some kosher wine
While he'd really like to pick
Them up by ears or use a stick,
but he can't because their mum
threatens him with chewing gum
if he even dares to spank
their little bums upon a plank.
Poor old rebbe, teased and tired
tries to keep cool, not get fired,
source of fun and games for boys
who have outgrown mums and toys.
He'll become beloved reb
when they grow and see the nebb
ish as Ish, a man to teach:
to his height they'll have to reach.
