Guardian Angel Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Guardian Angel

Rating: 4.5

I need you here in my arms,
To share the same sights your precious eyes see,
To count the stars as they slowly fade from view,
Into a paradise far from here,
Should anytime you fall, I'll be there to catch you,
Should any point the minutes seem bleek,
I'll be there to help count the seconds til' God's blessing paints your face with his horizon,
The simplicity of a single thought that goes forth with such urgency,
That speaks with such depth,
As it compliments each word with the simple caress of your smile,
The simple caress of your skin,
Mere quivers found in the wind,
As it asks for nothing but the tenderness of knowing,
A perfect personification of God's gift,
A total embodiment of anywhere,
Anytime,
Sharing a love between the sheets of stars,
Savoring each taste,
As it seeps deeper into our being,
As a whole,
As home seems closer with each breath in your presence
