Gun Tragedy Poem by Gwendolyn Anderson

Gun Tragedy

Robbing life
a moment in time
Gunshots rang throughout a school
lives lost,
No reason at all

Gunshots inside a theater
No explanation
Gunshots after a fist fight brawl,
losers return
blazing everyone, on the lawn
Youngster walking to the store,
never to return back home
Gunned down,
No explanation, No reason at all

What is this? Where do we live?
The wild west
a battlefield!
This is our Land
where Freedom rings! And
Gun control taken too lightly!

Look, read and listen
to all the Gun tragedies, too many to list
Only a fraction due to hate,
a few, maybe mistakes
and all others
just plain crazy!

Gun Tragedy,
when will it end?
