Half-Blind Poem by Jayne Doe

Half-Blind

He's on my left
And she's on my other left
Two lefts, 'cuz nobody's right

I refuse to choose
For either way I'd lose
And continue to worsen the plight

She speaks the truth
He speaks it too
Perspective is all that has changed

Yet some will go,
'Cuz they think they know,
To the side with "more valid" pain

Forget the other
And start to smother
What's left of a dwindling soul

But how can you choose
When you have half the news
And cause someone to suffer the toll?
