Halloween King Poem by Jammie Plummer

Halloween King

When unhappy many of us dream
This is a tale of
One gentleman who went after his

There was a Halloween king
Who could give everyone a fright.
But he was still dissatisfied,
One day while walking and lamenting
He found a world of splendor and delight,
This world gave him such a thrill
He had to make it his own.
He ran to tell his friends
But is yet to be found lover
Knew his idea was not so grand.
So the Halloween king toiled day and night
Working and devising his plan.
He would capture Santa Claus,
The one who ruled the splendid world
But just as his to be found love had seen
The plan when down in flames
Santa Claus fell in to the wrong hands
All the presents made the children shriek
In terror rather then delight
The king knew he had to act fast
To set things right
His only option was to return
The world of splendor and delight back
To the proper ruler

In the end the Halloween king learned his lesson
Sometimes the best things are right in front of your eyes
Like the Halloween world he ruled
And his to be found lover
Remember, remember when you dream of better things
Sometimes the best things you already have.
