The words I love you have no meaning
What comes with it
Is something I am not needing
Something I want to deal without
I thought I knew what it was all about
And frankly, I just don’t
Because it seemed so very hard for ME to let go
I cried
And ALL you could reply
Was “dry your eyes”
And so nonchalantly
But don’t you worry
I am not mad at thee
How could I be?

You were so ready to hang up
And once YOU did
I did the same thing on love
