Happiness At Last Poem by RACHEL ZARANTONELLO

Happiness At Last

You shattered my life
Leaving broken pieces of my heart.
Did you ever care at all?
Or simply used me from the start?
I loved you with all my heart then,
it kills me to love you this way
Enough to let you go,
Yet you would not stay away
Just a game to you,
knowing I loved you so
Ripping me apart more everyday
But you will never even know.
Is this all the pain
That I will ever have to feel?
Are you out of my life FOREVER?
Taking my love for you, so real.
I'll tell you I'm fine,
So you may know happiness at last
Realizing all along
You never even cared enough to ask.

For Leland, of course. It's Tuesday.
