Happy Father’s Day Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Happy Father’s Day

There goes the man
And the father of all
His dropped shoulders quite heavy
Laden with such responsibilities
And the search for better life
Check his palms and strands of hair
Evidence of his labor
From the start of creation
He has been assigned this duty
Provision of nutrition and security
For the family and the rest
The world revolves around him
He makes the world revolve, too
It is his world; he labored for it
He is the strength and fulcrum of the family
Happy Father’s Day
