Stars exploded in their eyes,
And suns burnt out in their hearts.
Skin was kissed with desert sand,
Thunder claps hard to embrace them.
Banished by the land, the wind
Lifted their bodies up into the cold.
And they called out to their brothers,
‘Come join me in flight.’

I really like this poem because I can relate to it, and I pay more attention to poems if I can relate to them. I find this poem to be deep and over-enthusiastically sorrowful, but in a special sense. Keep up the work.
