He Died For Me Poem by Maureen Alikor

He Died For Me

Sin was all I knew
till Him I got to know.

I knew I had to go
and still it all still looked blue.

He loves the Jew
and all He chose to eschew.

Today
He remains in the grave
yet
within He travelled to Sheol
to wipe the sins of me
and the sins of all.

He fought the fight
I had no strength
to attempt.
He bore my plight
and I had no visual in sight.

I tripped and fell
at His feet I bow.
In total obeisance to Him
for He alone is sure,
to save the lost me.

He alone is sure.
I am His
and He is mine.
