He Does Not Realize It Poem by Francis Duggan

He Does Not Realize It

He does not realize it but of professional help he is in need
His thought processes clouded from smoking wizzy weed
His eyes look a bit foggy he seems a bit spaced out as they say
His kind are not rare in the Human World of today
For to feed his addiction he turned to crime
He now is in prison serving his time
For robbing a super store with a sharp pocket knife
And threatening the cashier for to take his life
One can say that in life he has gone wrong
To overcome his addiction he would need to be strong
In his early twenties his life in disarray
But where there is life there is hope as they say
He is not a bad person though on life's wrong track
And to get his life together of courage he would not need to lack.
