He Held My Hand (9/24/11) Poem by Harlea Quinn66

He Held My Hand (9/24/11)

Rating: 5.0

He held my hand

I could scream it to the world

He held my hand!

Well, technically not

For we were just comparing hand sizes

His, much larger than mine

Then again, whose isn't?

He marveled at the smallness of my hand

By comparing it to his own

It was so warm

I've never felt like this before

He thinks it's just innocence

That it's a cute joke

But I think

'He's holding my hand'

He drags me out of the classroom by my wrist

I can't stop grinning

He's still inspecting my hand as we walk

Through the busy hallways

All the way up to my locker

Where he finally lets go

I already miss his hand with mine

As he walks to his locker

He makes a joke about how small they are

And I can't help but giggle

Not because of the joke

But because

He held my hand

I'm still grinning to this day

He

Held

My

Hand!
