He Ruined My Life... Poem by You... don't... want me...

He Ruined My Life...

Alone in life, and yet still fighting on
Moving forward after everyone’s gone
Bowing your head against the pain
Feeling the last of your energy drain

Holding back the urge to scream
Hoping it just a terrible dream
Looking around for someone to hold
To help you out of this terrible cold

You wake in your bed shaking in fear
You look around but no one is here
Back in the present, but it’s all come true
Your family is gone, all because of you.

Afraid to remember not wanting to forget
All you wanted was some chicken and a beget
‘No honey I’ll go, ’ he said reaching for the keys
You said. ‘Okay but take the kids too please.’

Waiting for hours for them to return.
This terrible pain in your chest, just like heartburn
You get the call around ten pm
But refuse to believe it's really them

A drunk driver, only nineteen
His only injuring a bruise on his spleen
This *&^%ing idiot, good for nothing lowlife
He is the one… He ruined your life…
