Head In Hand Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Head In Hand

Head in hands

Head in hands, I stare
-at papers on the desk
-many books in the shelves
-and websites with claims
-on the peace and murders.

Scroll down and feel
-lonely and too tired…

Radio is on and
-she speaks of weather
-and Earth's Climate:
- "I am a teenager…"

She can't vote just because
-has less than legal age!

I see me in the boat
-in secret, hideaway
-from mass of pirates…
-whose gain is of shackles
-on Black Africans…

Slaving is legal…

I laugh loud at the words
-of "Legal! ", "Illegal! "

Who sets them?
With what right?

Wish I had never come
-to a world, full of lies
-where rivers of blood
-keep running
-where deserts are dried
-of truth and the hearts
-that care and rather die
-than being brutal…

Wish I had never come!
