L-ong and lonely evening
H-as turned into sunrise;
E-arly dawn has broken,
N-ight shadows pass from eyes.
I-nclement clime turns fine,
R-ain stops from falling;
I-n the open lanes above,
S-ky is clear and the wind isn't
H-owling.
M-orn in March twenty-nine
A-ims to take the dusk away;
B-ad weather has turned
I-nto a new warm sunny day.
L-ight shines everywhere,
O-ne twilight has faded;
G-ray clouds disappear, as the haze has just drifted.
E-very thing in this world
S-hall not last but will perish;
C-alled creatures as they are,
O-bliged to grow then vanish.
B-ut after men breathe their last,
A-nother death awaits all;
L-ake of fire is for the wicked, while heaven is for the faithful.
