Heaven Is Not Amused Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Heaven Is Not Amused

What's happening to the world now?
To lost mankind today
Deceived from knowing when and how
Ethics are in decay

Morality's now a byword
Honesty seen as rare
Integrity's, weak found oft absurd
Where people fail to care

The rich grow richer, fat and sleek
The poor deprived increase
Salvation's Way few know to seek
Heaven, for true release

Through God, The Lord, alone who's wise
With all at His command
The living Christ, will open eyes
Life's Way to understand

Life's Way is not as a man sees
Man's knowledge man's schools teach
But lessons, learnt when bending knees
And where God's servants preach

But churches are scoffed with laughter
Christians are seen as fools
No thought of the hereafter
No faith in Heaven's rules

That The Lord Himself must stand by
For righteousness to be
Jesus, for sinners chose to die
Life's truth, mankind to see

Two thousand years, have come and gone
Deceived, man's still confused
Rejecting God, His Lamb and Son
Heaven is not amused…..
