Heavy Heart Poem by Teresa Reck

Heavy Heart

It is beginning to snow again
cold seeping through my bones
I have travelled far this day
walked the path of cobbled stones

Tears are falling like frozen rain
my heart feels heavy as I weep
I walk this path alone and cold
keep going no matter how steep

Questions I must ask to you alone
face the reality your answers bring
I know what you say will hurt so much
your deceitful arrogance will sting

On I must go until my journeys end
each step brings me nearer to you
the coldness descends around my heart
a lone solemn figure emotions so few
