Her Eyes

Her eyes
Pools of beauty that hypnotize my soul
And lure me into her romantic snare
Their charm trick me into loving her
And I foolishly fall into her clutches

Yet, I do not worry of the trap she's set
For her eyes showed me what I was longing for
They showed me what I yearned for
They showed me what I was lacking

In her eyes I found warmth
In her eyes I found comfort
In her eyes I found love

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
