Her Pretended Indifference Poem by james watkin

Her Pretended Indifference

Those pretty speeches, believed were
On a heart wasted;
Soonest aired were as wing-clipped
By their listener;
Could I but know what therein
Had echoed instead!
Through each songbird in a streets'
Homing encounter!
