Her Rustle Poem by Sneha Celine

Her Rustle

Heard the rustle of the leaves?
The constant chatter of trees?
It feels like they have a story to tell,
'I would love to hear it, mademoiselle.'
I wonder how wise must you be?
Being around for centuries.
The scars on your bark are the wrinkles of the wise
For the world has grown right before your eyes
Tell me, what have you seen?
Love or war or something in between?
You must have witnessed legends in history,
Would you have answers to unsolved mysteries?
Did you feel the toil of day and repose of night,
Calm and storms, dawn to moon light?
Do you have a family? Who are your friends?
I know your grounded but where does your roots end?
I am curious to hear the tales you have to tell
Maybe you have something I can unravel.
