Here Comes The Bride Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Here Comes The Bride

here comes the bride
all dressed in white
but where is the groom?
did he fly to the moon?

she sought far and wide
where did he go to hide?
tears fell from her face
this was all such a disgrace

while she wallowed
she noticed a shadow
she turned around to see;
it was her husband-to-be

I've been on the roofs, he said
thinking for I was scared
please forgive me darling
my heart will be explaining:

I thought it was scary
the idea to get married
but when I was away I knew,
I couldn't live without you

my soul is yours to hold
my heart is yours to fold
for now until eternity
with you is where I wish to be

she shivered in the snow
he covered her with his cloak
with eyes on each other
they kissed one another

once again my bride
with you by my side
marry me, your lover
let me love you forever
