Hey Dad... Poem by Ryan Joseph Holder

Hey Dad...

Rating: 5.0

Hey dad...
I don't know what to say
I don't know what to think of this
Now all I do is pray...
I pray you'll realize
Before your time is up
The mistakes you made with me
I hope that you give up
I wonder how you sleep at night
Do you ever think of me?
The boy you let grow up without
A father who was dead to me...
And then you got another chance...
Another waste of time...
Another broken promise left
Within this confined rhyme...
You failed me as a father...
You failed me as a friend....
And yet for some reason...
I wish this hadn't end...
I still miss you very much
And wish that you were true
But I don't believe in miracles...
So I give up on you...
