Hey Daddy
Hey daddy
-it's midnight.
-I am home
-have just come;
-was driving around
-except for some stops.
Enjoyed when I spoke
-in varied dialogues
-Russian to Azeri
-and Farsi,
-Arabic,
-as well as Spanish
- (and others that I know.)
But Daddy
-everywhere that I went
-each of words that I said
-mirrored you and your way
- (when praised my talent, admired:
- "Each tongue that you speak
-is another person with a nest inside you.")
Hey Daddy, I miss you
-wish I could bow to you
-kiss your hands and hug you
- (as I did to prove
-that love and respect you.)
Hey Daddy, I owe you
-above all "Thank you! "
-and recall when saw you
-in bed in hospital
-we joked, and you smiled.
Our planes were in war;
-whenever one crashed you took it to be mine,
-then collapsed with killer heart attack…
I flew, wearing my flight suit, saw you in a sick bed.
-Eye to eye we never met again!
