Hey Little Bird Poem by Alfred Ramos

Hey Little Bird

Rating: 5.0

Hey little bird it’s time to fly away
Hey little bird you ain’t got time to stay
You came and sang your song
Now move along, move along
You sat at my window, pretty as a flower
But now look at the hour
It’s time to fly away
You don’t need to come back another day
You flew into my life
And your song cut like a knife
You brought back a buried memory
Now dried up tears return like a river of misery
So hey little bird flap your wings away
I don’t want to waken to a dream that led me astray
So just fly away, fly away
The sun is racing to catch the moon
And I have to be leaving real soon
I don’t want you here when I get back
I won’t be responsible for a verbal attack
So fly away with your song
I won’t relive all the reasons I was wrong
So little bird fly away
Lose yourself in some sunray
