Hidden Truth Poem by Pondering Portrait

Hidden Truth

Hiding behind lies
Shrinking away from truth
Shielded by denial
From what they know

Smothering the evidence
Frome hopeful, eager eyes
Intending to build ignorance
Rather than be questioned

Crafting a great hoax
To occupy their minds
Creating many foes
As they point fingers

Brooding a senseless fear
As they feed their nightmares
With falsehood to steer
Their knowing hearts
