His Sunshine And His Rain Poem by Nvisible 2Luv

His Sunshine And His Rain

Rating: 5.0

I knew a man who made me smile.
I held him close for a little while.
But the closer I got, the further he'd roam
So I packed my things and left our home.
In leaving I'd hoped to find him again.
That person who always could make me grin.
But in my laughter he hid his pain.
With our sunshine he masked his rain.

I loved his sunshine
I loved his rain.
I loved his smile.
And I loved his pain.
Why is it so hard for him to show
The person there that I need to know.
Already I love him and that won't change.
If only he could let me
Wash away the rain.

These things have a way of showing themselves.
Though about it he dared not speak.
Through the beautiful love we shared,
Bitterness began to leak.
Don't know if I was the cause.
'Cause men like him don't say
What it is that turns
All of their blue skies to gray.

It hurts beyond compare
To have him near, but never quite there.
I ache to know his heart.
To understand things that tear him apart.
Otherwise I may tread
In waters which cause his beautiful soul dread.
How do you appreciate sunlight
If you've never seen the rain?
How do you know a person
If you've never seen their pain?

I loved his sunshine
I loved his rain
I loved his smile
And I loved his pain.
Why is it hard for him to show
The person there that I need to know.
Already I love him and htat won't change.
If only he could let me
Wash away the rain.
