On weak trembling knees dear GOD
Withering from old age
Sweat face looks to you for a nod
When you turn my life page

Never one to rise to the top
Too many faults to show
Tried to be the cream of the crop
Failed to make goodness grow

Have pity on this evil fool
Who drowns in depths of shame
Became a mindless devil's tool
With self indulgent blame

Bless me with a peep in heaven
For just a moments bliss
Rolled the dice for seven..eleven
Then lost to snake eyes hiss.
