I was born to my parents
Yolanda only 16 and Bolo a man yet to be.
Born and raised with 5 brothers in my beloved home in
HAPPY VALLEY.
Where the hills shared in games of hide & seek and covered us from our troubles deep. The skies were our paintings of a world never to leave.
Unknown to an outside place of new discoveries.
Neighborhood kids were an extension of each family to become one. HAPPY VALLEY was wide enough to bring a star show at night and a morning light from a warming sun.
As we've grown, our hills became a memory and HAPPY VALLEY is my forgotten family.
4 brothers mistook the sways of green grass & songs from the walnut tree to claim our beloved place as an owned property.
HAPPY VALLEY was family, we betrayed it, now with lonely remembers of how fast we ran its hills and scraped knees always to heal,
I wish only to have one more
day with HAPPY VALLEY and myfamily once complete.
