Hook, Line, And Sinker Poem by Beth Ann

Hook, Line, And Sinker

I really thought we had a shot
I sometimes wonder how
I could be so dumb

Now I live with all this shame
For being with someone
Who has a woman at home
Raising his kids

I gave you so many chances
But you always fell through
With the promise that you'd leave her

You don't even realize that you keep
Reminding me of that,
over and over again

I fell hook, line and sinker
For all of your lies
I should of never fell for you

If I had any self esteem
I'd leave you
